Joaquin Caparros takes charge of training after taking over as Sevilla’s caretaker manager following the sacking of Francisco Javier Garcia Pimienta.

‘As a club, supporting the trainer is just one way to help and now we have to do the same with Caparros. Doing this at times is a show of maturity.’
For Orta, he is also under pressure from his job, despite working under Spain’s lowest salary cap and with a budget halved.
‘I work according to the targets set by the club. We had some bad luck with the signings in the winter transfer market. We wanted to get back to form and we reduced the salary, which was 50 per cent. I was frustrated that we almost got to Europe, but I think overall we have to accept the mistakes. However, I followed the guidelines set by the board to try to improve myself. ‘
