Turkey coach Vincenzo Montella has return to the front of the race to take over at Roma next season after his assistant was spott in the stands.

Roma have improved dramatically since the arrival of Claudio Ranieri. But the veteran manager has confirmed he will retire in the summer and the club are in the market for a replacement.

The latest is that Lecco newspaper has reveal that he has emerge as the favourite once again after his assistant was spott in the stands at Roma’s games against Juventus and Lazio.
It could be a return to the Stadio Olimpico for Montella, who was a Roma player from 1999 to 2007.
He was previously a youth coach before taking charge of the first team for 16 games as caretaker manager in the 2010-11 season.
The 50-year-old took over as Turkey manager in September 2023 and has won 11, drawn four and lost six, leading the team to the quarter-finals of Euro 2024.
Montell’s assistant coach, Daniele Russo, attended the matches against Juventus and Lazio at the Olimpico.
