Chelsea are reportedly interested in bringing attacking midfielder Kendry Paez to Stamford Bridge next week as they look to get the Ecuadorian teenager settled into club and European football as quickly as possible.

It was initially understand Paez would move to the Premier League club for £17.2m in the summer of 2025 after turning 18 in May.

Paez does not intend to play for his boyhood club until the new Ecuadorian league season begins in March 2025.
“Last week we spoke with Kendry Paez, and there were two possibilities. Chelsea want the player to have time to adapt in Europe from now on,” Independiente del Valle sporting manager Luis Fernando Saritama said.
“We are analyzing this matter with his agency and the club that owns his rights,”
Páez is nearly make his first trip to Europe soon, with key discussions ongoing regarding his immediate future.
“On the 17th or 20th of this month, Kendry Páez will make his first trip to Europe. What prevails here is the decision of the club and the player, and the intention of both is to have a period of adaptation in Europe before he turns 18,” Saritama added.
Despite his young age, Paez has already made 70 appearances for his boyhood club, scoring 16 goals and providing six assists.
