Former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher believes Manchester United can still finish in the top four of the Premier League. Despite the loss of Christian Eriksen.
The Denmark international has been a key player in United’s midfield this season. But he suffered an injury after being tackled by Andy Carroll in the FA Cup and will reportedly be ruled out for treatment up to 3 months.
While the loss of Eriksen could hurt United’s game. Carragher believes Erik ten Hag’s side are good enough to finish in the top four UFABET
“It’s a big loss for them because the midfield is basically the biggest turning point for Manchester United this season. In terms of Casemiro coming in Eriksen coming in alongside. Side by side and Fernandes in front.” Carragher told Sky Sports.
“They have been a great trio for most of this season. So it’s a waste. They have Fred and McTominay who have been heavily criticized over the last few seasons. It’s really bad to be honest, I think if Fred plays Casemiro. You’re talking about a Brazilian midfield duo over the last few years. They’ve played quite a bit together.
“But I think they won’t win the league and they won’t be out of the top four either. So it’s not a big issue in terms of where I think they will finish this season. I think they are playing well. And I don’t see them dropping out of the top four. I think there is a gap between them and Manchester City.
