Jesse Lingard has hit back at social media criticism after the former Red Devils star was accused of destroying Manchester United’s culture, along with Marcus Rashford and Paul Pogba.

After a surprise move in February last year, the 32-year-old spent another season with FC Seoul in South Korea.

Lingard was often heavily criticise during his time at Old Trafford, with some fans even blaming him for the destruction of United’s culture.
It all started when a fan replied to a video clip on X about Lingard’s famous goal for the Red Devils in the 2015-16 season, saying: “He, Pogba and Rashford have destroyed a culture that even Rooney would accept.”
“He has his own culture with two other vultures after Sir Alex left.”
Meanwhile, Lingard was quick to respond: “Please explain how Paul and Marcus are destroying the culture of Manchester United.”
Another fan who joined the conversation wrote: “You make us play well, which some of the idiots who ‘support’ this team don’t like because you dance and have fun with it.”
However, Lingard has defended his position, saying: “Haha, we just enjoy life playing for the biggest club in the world. Of course we make mistakes and we learn, but we enjoy and smile and dance.”
